Frequently asked questions

Where can I get Hallow?

Hallow is available in the Apple App Store and in the Google Play Store.

Is it available outside of the U.S.?

Unfortunately not yet, because of tax considerations we are currently only available in the U.S.  but we have plans to launch in other countries in the future!

Why the name "Hallow"?

One of the prayer types that Hallow offers is called Lectio Divina, where the user reads a passage from scripture or a prayer, identifies a word or phrase that sticks out to them, and continues to meditate on that word or phrase. The first time that Hallow's CEO & Co-founder, Alex, prayed through Lectio Divina, he was meditating on the Our Father and 'hallow' was the word that stuck out to him from the phrase 'hallowed be thy name'. Furthermore, the word itself means "to make holy", and that is the core of Hallow's mission: to let God hallow our lives, and to help others do the same.

How much does it cost?

The app begins with a free trial and then starts at $8.99 per month for full access to the content. For each subscription purchased, we pledge to give another away. Our goal is to provide Hallow for free to organizations in need, (e.g., faith immersion programs, retreats, Christian non-profits) to help in the formation of faith lives how we can.

What is Hallow's religious affiliation?

All of our content is based in Catholic teaching and we are working closely with members of the Catholic Church to bring you the best content possible, but the hope is that Hallow can be a resource for help those of all faith backgrounds regardless of denomination.

For Apple users (iOS):  Click on the “Subscribe to Unlock” button and then click on “Restore Purchase” which is in text on the bottom left of the screen.
